On a sunny Saturday, the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, with its several buildings spread out around calm bodies of water, was bustling. Wide-eyed tech enthusiasts, and children with a love for technology roamed the campus, which was filled with the latest innovations. From fishing technology to workplace vitality solutions to advanced food growing methods, Of course, the great food available added to the vibrant atmosphere.
Children at the event had the opportunity to explore various technologies that piqued their interest. Watching them try out different innovations highlighted the importance of such events in fostering curiosity and understanding the vast possibilities technology offers. These experiences not only made the children more curious but also helped them see what technology can do for them and what they can achieve with it.
Among the many exhibitors, we from Body.Scratch were there to showcase our unique product. Our room attracted a steady stream of adults and students, all eager to try it out. Initially, visitors were sceptical about the small phone and projector setup, wondering what kind of game it was. Soon, they realized it was an interactive coding experience where they could code an image of a ninja in a desert with a dragon flying overhead using dance moves.
At first, their movements were stiff, but as they grew more confident with each successful coding element, their bodies loosened up, and they began to enjoy the process. Even the adults couldn't resist busting some moves and participating in the fun. The reactions from both the kids and their parents were delightful. Some developers who visited our room even commented on the potential applications of our technology in the medical field, seeing possibilities beyond only coding with kids.
The event at the High Tech Campus was a tremendous success, providing an enriching experience for all who attended. It empowered the youth by giving them tools that will help them thrive in today's and tomorrow's world.
